It would be impossible to write an “any- age-version” expose’ of The Holocaust without some stomach turning examples… and for any full-fledged adult… they should be educated with no sick detail redacted… for the very good reason… that every person on earth should know… how vile it was… so “NEVER-AGAIN” would be the result. But this book has purposely restrained itself… I believe… for the greater goal… of making this book be able to target a younger entry level… to start a full education process at a younger age… a little easier.The author’s should be very proud of the way they were able to tell such an awful… must-be-told… story… in such an educational… and easy to read format.An Incredible Story The “Killing” series of historical events by authors Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard are fascinating, well-researched back-in-time accounts of different eras. Their most recent release of “Killing the SS”, the hunt for the worst war criminals in history, is simply captivating. For this reader, some of the story was known, and a lot was not. That around 10,000 former Nazi’s were allowed to immigrate to America following the war is mind boggling.And, then there is the role of the Vatican and the Red Cross, who assisted between 8,000-10,000 Nazi’s immigration to South America. The search for Adolf Eichmann in Argentina was especially interesting for this reader, who had walked the streets of Buenos Aires numerous times and could easily see the city of 1960 when the Mossad captured Eichmann and flew him out in the middle of the night.Even after all these years, it is hard to come to grips with the evil that the Nazi’s brought this world. As the authors suggest, one really can not really come to an understanding of these crimes against mankind, until visiting one of the concentration camps, as this reader and his wife did when they visited Dachau on a dark cold snowy December day, that continues to haunt us after seeing the ovens. We pray that God does not forgive these monsters.It was just not the men of the SS who were evil, but also the women guards at female concentration camps like Ravensbruck. One of those women was Elfriede Huth, who following the war immigrated to the United States and lied about her role at Ravensbruck and lived in San Francisco for over 30 years before she was found out and expelled back to Germany. She and other Nazi’s that immigrated to the U.S. and lied about their roles have collected over $20 million from Social Security. Crazy.As with all the “Killing” books, it is essential to have one’s iPad close by, as there is no shortage of googling that needs to be done to uncover additional information about these criminals and events. As usual, great job Mr. O’Reilly & Mr. Dugard!Very disappointing I've read two other books O'Reilly has written -Killing England and Killing Patton-both very good and interesting. Killing the SS isn't about the SS, it's about the Jews looking for the SS and basically apparently indiscriminately murdering lots of people along the way, with very little worthwhile information about the SS itself.

It covers both the practical considerations as well as the emotionally charged conversations surrounding retirement. As we're beginning to plan for my own husband's retirement in a few years, the timing was especially welcome! That said, it's good reference material whether you're in retirement, preparing for it, or years away from it.Excellent guide for successful retirement strategy! Well, I have finished reading Larry's book, and I can state with no hesitation it is the best book on the subject I have read.In the last year or so I have read three books, including Larry's, on the subject of retirement.All three books covered the financial aspects of retirement very well.The difference in Larry's book is in his coverage of the non-financial aspects of a successful retirement strategy. Areas that frankly I had never considered. Obviously no book can cover all these items in great detail, but by bringing them up, it can help the reader recognize their need to address different issues that could impact their retirement,The financial aspects of retirement are also covered very well in Larry's book. Anyone who has read his earlier books knows the subject matter will be covered extensively. Adding in the coverage of the non-financial areas puts it at the top of the heap for me.

Five Stars Great review for ACT math. Harder questions so it prepares you well for the actual test.Best ACT Math book available. Pros:1.) Comprehensive - each and every topic thoroughly reviewed and explained. For each topic, detailed demonstrations of all the most common ACT problems on that topic follow, and the writer does a good job of providing multiple solution methods whenever possible so that students can try different approaches until they find the one they like best.2.) Lots of practice - sufficient number of easy, medium, and hard level problems following every lesson. All questions have detailed explanations of the steps needed to reach the answer.3.) Very close to the actual test - this may seem like a given, but it's truly surprising how few prep books accurately model the kinds of problems found on the actual exam. This book nails it.Cons:1.) Some students may find the practice problems a bit too rigorous if math isn't their thing. I recommend pairing this book with Richard Cohn's ACT Math book if that's the case. The latter can give them a basic foundation, and then this book provides the heavy finish needed to score high.Nielson Phu's SAT and ACT Math books leave the competitors in the dust. As a professional SAT/ACT tutor, I can't recommend them enough.Ok Like that it is divided into many chapters but didn’t help much. Will go over one more time before the test

Religious undertones The book was pretty good, it had some valid points and learning that there are different ways that people express their love was important. What I think pulled away from the book was the underlying religious agenda to preach about God. It totally turned me off And I thought it was completely unnecessary to deliver the message. Of course if you are a religious person then this would be right up your alley.Just started to read so more rates are possible at the end of reading I have just started to read this book. In the Acknowledgments, I noticed this, "If all wives loved as she does, fewer men would be looking over the fence." How about "If all husbands loved as he does, fewer women would be looking over the fence."? I am serious.Definitely worth reading to improve your relationship with your spouse. It is definitely a good book for couples and it has improved my relationship with my wife. If nothing else it shows you what things your partner is really looking for out of their spouse. I quickly found that my love language was "Acts of Service". Though it might not be sexy or macho to say that, it means more to me to have the dishes and laundry done when I come home after work or have minor home improvements taken care of before I get home. My wife and I have 2 small children and our house is hard to stay clean because every room feels like a mess. We do clean it all the time but it feels like a losing battle. My wife's love language is "Words of Affirmation". As you can tell from all these Amazon reviews I am much more of a writer than I am a talker. My wife is always looking for me to say how much I love and appreciate her because I don't say it often enough.A big part of improving your relationship with your spouse or boyfriend/girlfriend is to sticking with a date night to make sure you have quality time together. Especially if you have children or a high stress occupation. My wife and I have been together for 10 years and got stuck in the rut of an endless routine of doing everything we could for our kids, followed by daily chores and left little time for ourselves. Committing to 1 date night a week has really helped our relationship and improved our communication.I recommend the book for sure and found it inspiring and worth reading. All couples can benefit from reading this book. The only downside is I wish it could have been a little longer. The stories from the author are interesting and I would have liked to have heard a bunch of his other examples of couples that he has dealt with. It was a short book and my wife and I finished it in 4 or 5 days and that was reading it slowly. The price is easily affordable. I found it best to photo copy the test quiz at the end instead of writing in the book so we can give the book to any family or friends who are struggling with their relationship.
